Frame times in menu are < 2ms, and in-game was high ~30m, but even after a few minutes I did not get any higher than that. I've just tried NMS with WMR for SteamVR 1.3.60, and I was not able to reproduce the issue unfortunately :( I tried various combinations of settings, motion vectors on/off, direct mode on/off etc. After coordinating with the wmr devs, we haven't landed on a root cause but it's probably better for them to have a look at the unusual behaviour of dwm.exe closer first in this instance. Chimichonga: Hi - I'm a developer working with the SteamVR team and just tried to repro this using reverb2+steamvr+wmr. Top GPU utilization in task manager shows:Ĭan you tell us a little bit more about what settings you might have enabled in SteamVR and WMR for SteamVR ?ĭo you have Motion Smoothing on or off in the SteamVR settings?ĭo you have any advanced Graphics settings enabled in the WMR for SteamVR settings? (see below) I typically average ~11-12ms frame times, but after loading in they're ~25ms and start going up over the next 10 minutes until I average around 120ms frame times. After launching NMS, VRAM is full immediately before I even get past the initial loading screen. I reverted to main branch and uninstalled/rebooted/reinstalled as suggested. In my case, No Man's Sky is what I'm currently playing and have done most of my testing with it. Chimichonga:Rune, thanks for dropping in the thread here. Hope this helps let me know if I can provide any other testing info. One thing I notice is in the first screenshot when performance is terrible is that the GPU seems to have dropped to 50% power consumption even though GPU load is 99%. I revert back to LKG branch, restart Mixed Reality Portal and SteamVR, relaunch NMS, and things are back performing great again. I wasn't able to reproduce the steamvr crash this time however it is unplayable obviously with these frame times. Top GPU utilization in task manager shows: Rune, thanks for dropping in the thread here. (c) Failing the above, can you share a SteamVR system report: (b) If you haven't already, can you double check the exact process eating up your gpu resources (Task Manager > Process > (right click on column bar and select additional data): (a) Completely uninstall the WMR driver in Steam, reboot and then reinstall I didn't encounter any vram mem leaks either. Hi - I'm a developer working with the SteamVR team and just tried to repro this using reverb2+steamvr+wmr.Īfter roughly an hour of play time with Elite Dangerous, I haven't been able to succesfully make steamvr crash.
